Dive In →
Hit the water. Dive in headfirst it doesn’t matter just dive into it let it completely immerse you until your lungs are burning and your heart is hitting the inside of your chest like it is trying to escape your ribcage and you feel like you will never breathe again. This is what kissing a girl for the first time is like. This poem © Gabriel Gadfly. Published...

Murmur by Gabriel Gadfly; relevant →
I am thinking of your heart. The doctor says your heart murmurs, but I don’t think he’s listened to it as much as I have. Your heart mutters, sometimes, and sometimes it stutters, but mostly it sounds like poetry: iambic feet like ta-dum, ta-dum, ta-dum, and with my hand on your chest, your heart is a steady drummer.
